It's another gray day here in Tübingen. We had quite a bit of rain over the weekend, and this morning had a few drizzles, so we decided to take the bus into town instead of our bikes. Good idea. On my way home from language school, the wind really picked up once I got off the bus, and my poor umbrella just couldn´t bear the brunt of the wind, and, well, as you can see, it is now sadly on its way to where all good umbrellas go to die.

By saying that your umbrella was "good" does this mean that you forgave it, despite its failures?
Also, I doubt your description of the Tübingen weather will garner much sympathy from those of us in the Midwestern US.
Ditto for what birkholz said...
Blizzard on the way. God bless umbrellas, shovels and all things great and small...
Ah, yes, the Tübingen weather is not so bad as in the midwest, but we also don´t have the luxury of a car to protect us from that wicked cold weather!
I don't see any link for emailing you, so I thought I'd leave a comment here. My husband, Michael, and I (and kids) live near Mannheim, where he is stationed as a Chaplain with the Army. He attended CTS with Paul Mumme, whom I am assuming is a relative of yours. We lived in Oberursel in 1999-2000 for an exchange year with the SELK seminary. Anyhow, we aren't too far away from you! If you'd like to make contact, my email address is jlfrese at gmail dot com Gruesse aus Viernheim!

Loved your pictures from Italy but couldn't leave a post with that set of pictures. No crayon in my box would ever match that beautiful colors in those pictures. God's creation is truly amazing.
